EN 1263.1

This European Standard applies to safety nets and their accessories, used in construction and assembly work to protect people from falls from height.

Scope

It specifies safety requirements and test methods and is based on the performance characteristics of polypropylene and polyamide fibers. The materials used in the nets should not undergo significant reductions in their mechanical properties between -10 °C and 40 °C. This European Standard does not cover the installation of safety nets. The installation of safety nets is covered by EN 1263-2.
